A young brown girl in a golden dandelion field at sunrise, gazing upward as petals float around her in soft morning light.

Dandelion

Spread the love

It was beautiful until I first started to walk.

Until I could reach the couch.

Sheer love and innocence.

Like a flower; dandelion.

A gentle blow and gone….

One day I was distorted, like a house of cards.

One by one.

Part by part.

Exposed and falling apart.

I was not sure if my question should end with an exclamation or with a question mark?

But I had a question; Why?

A timid body but a valour soul.

Don’t pity me.

Don’t nod your heads when you look at my bruised body and bleeding soul.

I’m not gone.

I’m home and I’m here to stay.
