Who are you?

I have been there, a place so dark. A place no one would want to stay. Faces that haunt, nails that dig my soul, hands that drag me down to the murky floor. Give me hands to hold for I have tried so hard for such a long time to get out of this dirt.

Silently, my empty spirit embraced me one last time. I begged,”no do not, no not yet, give me another chance.”
I will give you a reward. I will give you another brew, another morning to gaze at the mountains from your hotel room. Hold on, you’re still loved, my lips need the embrace of my lover. You have to stop, don’t take me down yet. I still want to sit by the river, feeling partially deaf and mute to the earthly polluted world.

As it flew off my hold, I could nearly feel my demolishing heartbeats. it was my last appeal,”demons do not kill resilience. You’re messing up. It’s freezing out here, keep me warm.”

My demons teamed up, mocked me and pulled the spirit out, I struggled and my body shivered.

Who do you think you are? Let us give you a victorious slumber for being too brave…
